Young Leaders

The word leader can be seen in many different ways. It can be a king, a queen, a football captain, a teacher or even an older sibling. But whatever type of leader you meet or may be, the main objective must be to inspire and impact many young lives.

At GTFA, young leaders learn basic skills supporting football camps and sports sessions in Hendon. A simple handshake, high five or fist bump can get children on your side as they know you are approachable and will care for them as well as have banter and provide them a positive experience!

Throughout the session it is good to interact with the children and have a balance between being a good listener as well as being able to control their behaviour. This allows children to have fun without feeling restricted.

You must be organised so that the day flows and children are constantly having fun. If children are bored, this generally leads to bad behaviour and impacts children improving to their full potential!

Finally make sure they are always smiling and having fun so they go home and say how much they love their leader. Being a Young Leader at GTFA gives me a lot of personal satisfaction as I know I have impacted many children's lives.

So if you would like to become a Young Leader at GTFA and support their Summer Camps go to the members area, sign up and become a leader yourself too.
